| For
brekky, we headed over to a cafe just a couple shops from
The Grace. I had their popular banana bread (A$2.50), a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice (A$3.50), and an Affogato (black coffee w/ ice-cream) (A$3.00). Contemporary music played in the background. |

Backside
of this bus ticket says: "Did you know Sydney Buses now has 100 buses powered by Compressed Natural Gas? Catching a bus is part of the solution to improving Sydney's Air Quality." Cool Mate. It continues to say: "Travelling more than you have paid... fine is now $100." =^O |
In about half an hour, we could see the beach up ahead....
And here we are at Bondi Beach... enjoy the view...
Velodrome.
Okay... enough sitting around. Not that I don't enjoy watching joggers and surfer boys, but let's go for a walk. 1:30pm. |
A 5 kilometer (3 miles) journey....
|
|
4:00pm. Alas, we made it to Coogee Beach. |
A couple of little restaurants here and there, but this one had pies. |
Good thing too cuz I've been starving since we left Bondi!
|
4:23pm -
Several busses were lined up in front of Chish 'n Fips, taking
their breaks.
We hopped onto # 373.
"Circular Quay," I said. And $3.70 I paid.
"Market Street," said Max. Only $2.80.
Oops.

Backside
of this bus ticket says: "Did you know that Sydney Buses has over 1,600 buses serving the Sydney area." How many does Seattle have? |
I noticed lots of little shops along the streets. Max and Stasha were going to just head back to the hotel and clean up for the evening. Instead of waiting in the hotel room, I decided to jump off the bus and check out the stores. Randwick was the town. |
| Being
the Fishlady's Daughter, I had to sniff out the seafood.
:) |
| Down
the street was a mini-mall, with a shoe store, pharmacy,
market, and a little grocery section. |

I had
to try some of the fruits. Sundowner apple and gold peach were sweet... Sugar banana tasted like our bananas with a twist. The passionfruit was difficult as usual, but tasty. And the little kiwis... well... just about fermented. |

I hung
out for about half an hour before hopping back on a bus.
Turns out I couldn't continue using my previous bus pass,
so I had to get a new one. "Market Street," I said. A$2.70. |
Pretty soon I was back in downtown...
| ... this time
finding my own way back... |

to the corner of

.
| Tell me, does this look familiar to you? |
Anyways,
| Strolling
up downtown again towards Chinaman's land. Tonight, we're
having dinner at: |
A bit of a
wait this evening... probably because of a party happening at the
restaurant upstairs.
That's alright though -- gave us time to browse through the
entire menu... a wide variety of dishes, and a wide variety of
fresh seafood:
This is how the tanks looked from the outside! |
Fresh seafood, including this guy:
| Uhh...
the one on the right. The hostess tells me it's a King Crab. Really wanted to try it, but only two seafood eaters at this table. :( Instead, we had some... |
Rice, |
XO
Pippies, |
||
and some veggies (wombak and eggplant). |
|||
For dessert, a sweet soup (done just right) and some bikkies on the side. Complimentary. |
|||
Full and happy. :)
Yet I still
had room for a Coconut Gelato from Gellatissimo.
Mmmm-Hmm. A$3.50.
Tonight, we walk through the Queen Victoria Building. (Remember, from the tower?) Fancy shops, but all closed by this time of the night. Beautiful
place though. |
And now, a
bit of a rest before tomorrow's hike...
